“Plastic Tumbleweeds” Music Video Premiere Tomorrow 7pm

Plastic Tumbleweeds

Hello all~

This message is to let you know that “Plastic Tumbleweeds,” the official music video, is premiering tomorrow, July 1st at 7pm on my youtube channel @junebugbayer.

I hope you will take a moment, 2 minutes and 22 seconds, to be precise, and join me in watching the premiere on the big (or little) screen at 7pm tomorrow.

I will be at my grandma’s house eating popcorn. I invite you to join me for this momentous occasion from the comfort of your respective location. Drop me a line in the video’s live-chat or regular comment section to let me know you’re tuning in and from where!

A little back story on this video. The concept has been brewing in my mind for at least the past 6 years. Specifically, I wanted to make sure there was a scene with feet swishing back and forth and head bobbing with friends for the “doot doo” part, and a barrage of plastic bags. Both of these scenes made it into the final product, which is satisfying!

The impetus for creating the video was being selected as a featured artist for a local program called “New Music January” this past January. For reason’s unknown to me, I never received a response after submitting my video and the video was not featured. Alas, the experience left me with a great video that I now get to showcase and share with you myself. Huzzah!

Many hands were involved in the creation of this video, from audio recording and instrumentation by my bandmates Taylor Abbott (bass) and Joe Perez (drums) to videography and concept assistance by local artists Celine, Elayna, and Jacob Noradoukian. Scenes were shot at the Buna Vista Landfill, Rio del Mar Beach, and Aptos Village. There’s even a cameo from Tiny Paws Pug Rescue dog Lucille and of course, Little Lord Fauntleroy.

Well, that about sums it up. I hope you’re able to tune in tomorrow at 7pm (Cali time) on youtube.

Stay groovy and be a great ape,

~Junebug
